The Hammershøi collection is defined by its clean, minimalist lines, comfortable round shapes and discreet grooves.  Hammershøi has a timeless elegance, in line with the Scandinavian design tradition, and has gained iconic status.  

The Hammershøi series from Kähler was created by designer Hans-Christian Bauer, who draws inspiration from the Danish artist Svend Hammershøi's original works, which Hammershøi created at Kähler's workshop back in the early 1900s.

Hans-Christian Bauer is a Norwegian-born industrial designer. He strives to combine the warmth and uniqueness of ceramics with a rational modern look and good usefulness. Hans-Christian Bauer graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture's design department in 2010 and has since worked on his own projects in product and furniture design.
